‘AbracaDABra’ Children’s Radio

‘AbracaDABra’ Children’s radio is delighted to be giving a second airing to the Twizzlecaps series.

In eight episodes, this wondrous woodland adventure tells a tale of kindness, care and responsibility to friends and to the whole community - encouraging these qualities in the young audience.  It's a magical story, which shares the best messages in a non-patronising way, through charming and believable characters.

Mhairi Campbell reads each episode with delightful insight into the various problems that beset the fragile wildlife and the dwindling fairy population. The love and ingenuity Mr and Mrs Twizzlecap pour into finding solutions for these difficulties make for an exciting and intriguing adventure.

'Superb'

“My children love listening to audio talking books, and I must say the Twizzlecaps is certainly one of the best.  Not only is the story really good, but the female narration and sound effects are superb.

Please let me know as soon as the follow up story is released.

'Most enlightening'

“I bought The Twizzlecaps find Fairyland primarily for my great-grandson who is at this time 6 1/2 years old, and I thought, just the age to be able to enjoy it.

Having listened to it myself I found it most intriguing and as you have said, most enlightening to say the least. I can quite understand why you say it is educational, and I can now only look forward to listening to more of the like.

In short, I loved it. Very many thanks.

'Wonderful, educational, and enchanting'

“What can I say, the Twizzlecaps story is a wonderful, educational, and enchanting story that both myself and daughters thoroughly enjoyed, so much so that we couldn’t listen to it a chapter a night, we listened to the whole CD in one go, it was very addictive and we couldn’t wait to hear what happened next.

The story bought out lots of emotions in my eldest daughter especially the part when the baby owl hurt itself when it didn’t do as it was told.

My daughters loved the music between chapters and got up every time to do a "Fairy dance”, they also wanted to know where they could find the spiders that make the special silk so they could make a cloak and see real fairies!

We can’t wait until the next story is available so we can find out what happens next with Mr and Mrs Twizzlecap.

Thank you for a lovely story.

'Kept the children quiet all the way!'

“This kept my 3 children quite during the long drive from Hertfordshire to Devon for our holidays in August.

'My 13 year old son even enjoyed the story'

“Fantastic, first time my two sons and my daughter haven’t fought in the car whilst driving the two hours to my parents home. My 13 year old son even enjoyed the story and sat quietly listening.

John from Berkhamstead

'They listen all the time'

“My three sons listen to the story all the time. The younger ones particularly love the background sound effects, and try to whistle with the birds and re-create the storm.
